SE7EN

Within the opening sequences of 'SE7EN' the type of editing that are used are; fast cuts and stutter effect, this is very effective because its showing that its an thriller movie, as well showing images of horrific and insane things such as a man using a razor cutting the dead skin of his fingers as well as showing an picture of a man with a small long metal pole through and through the head. This is evident because it's showing towards a audience its building up as a perfect thriller what creates a sense of imagination within their minds.
The lighting used was mainly low and dark but keeping a light factor, this is effective because its keeping the conventions of an thriller in mind, showing that it's still a thriller.
The editing was, a fast cut of text to a short clip of the movie and then back, this is very effective because its keeping the audience interested within the opening.
